astragon Development

astragon Development is one of the most established German studios and has been developing commercial game software since 1990. Since its inception, more than 250 titles across various genres have been produced for different platforms.

News

In April 2023, astragon Entertainment acquired the renowned development studio to further strengthen the development of its own simulation brands and new proprietary simulation game IPs.

Together, the two companies are working on the recently announced Seafarer: The Ship Sim. The ship simulation game will launch in Early Access in summer 2025 via Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC.

Seafarer: The Ship Sim invites players to take the helm of their own careers. Various factions offer unique missions, challenges, and rewards. Thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 5, the world of Seafarer: The Ship Sim looks stunning and invites captains to enjoy the view. And thanks to interactive waves simulation from NVIDIA WaveWorks 2.0 the motion of the sea feels lifelike.
